2024 Maryland Tax Return Preparer Prep Course

Our Maryland Tax Return Preparer Prep course will prepare you for the Maryland Board of Individual Tax Preparers Examination and is based on 2022 federal and state tax law (current year being tested on the Maryland exam). The examination is administered by the State Board of Individual Tax Preparers which registers and regulates individual tax preparers subject to the authority of the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. One of the primary requirements for Maryland Tax Preparers is the successful completion of the examination. Our course will prepare you for the examination. The course covers the personal tax return Form 1040 including income, gains and losses, standard and itemized deductions, tax credits, small business schedule C and depreciation. Reading assignments and quiz questions will guide you through each tax topic so that you will be well prepared for the examination. A final exam will also allow you to practice for the actual examination and includes the same number of questions and the same time allotment as the actual examination.  *Audio provided on selected reading assignments.
