Now That You Are A Notary Public

Establishing a Business Name / Incorporating

Using a business name for your new or existing notary practice is not only a professional way to present yourself to clients but also makes it easier for clients to remember you and your business.  Choose a business name that reflects your personality, is easy to remember and is professional.  It is said that first impressions are lasting impressions, and the right business name will leave a lasting, positive impression with your clients and prospects.  We have partnered with a well known and respected company that provides great customer service and provides an efficient way for you to complete your business formation, all at resonable prices.  You will receive the same results but pay at least twice as much if you have a local attorney provide these services for you.   Please review your options carefully by clicking the links below and choose the entity that is right for you.

Fictitious Name Statement

The simplest and quickest way to establish a unique business name is to file a fictitious name statement.  A fictitious name statement will allow you to Do Business As (DBA)  a sole proprietorship.  This business is not separate from you  the owner, it is merely a different name that you as a business professional can operate under.  As the owner of the business, you are personally liable for the company and its debts and all income is pass-through to your personal tax return.  Please  read more about this form of business entity by Clicking Here and reviewing all of the business information under the Help Me Choose: Corp, LLC or DBA link.

Incorporate

A corporation is a separate legal entity that can shield the owners from personal liability and company debt.  A corporation can offer additional tax advantages and income is reported separately from your individual return via a tax return for the corporation.  Please read more about this form of business entity, including the differences between a C-Corp, S-Corp and LLC, by Clicking Here and reviewing all of the business information information under the Help Me Choose: Corp, LLC or DBA link.
